A Long Way From Chicago- Chapter 3 Trivia Question

This week's trivia question comes from Chapter 3 of A Long Way from Chicago. The first correct answer from any three (3) schools to this week's trivia question will win a gift certificate for a free ice cream cone from Oberweis Dairy. Your name, school, and grade are required. You can then type your answer to the question and it will be sent to the Evergreen Reads Committee electronically. Dr. Machak will deliver the winners' gift certificates to them at their school next week. Thank you for your support of Evergreen Reads - look for a new trivia question in this space each week!

Northwest Hosts Father Daughter Dance

The MIA Parent Booster Club hosted a Father/Daughter dance on January 27, 2017 with the theme "Be Our Guest." The Northwest students and their fathers danced the night away.

MIA Parent Group Sponsors Field Trips

The Mustangs in Action Parent group for Northwest sponsored a field trips to the Chicago Wolves game for students in 1st through 5th grades, to the Beverly Arts Center for Kindergarten, and a jumpy house for preschool to help celebrate the the great job students are doing with PBIS.

Student Council and iLead Toy Drive

The Northwest Student Council and PBIS iLead Committee collected 202 toys for their toy drive to benefit patients at Advocate Christ Children's Hospital.
