Two District 124 schools performed winter shows this holiday season.
On Dec. 11, Northwest School hosted a production of “All Aboard the Holiday Express,” which celebrates winter traditions around the world through original songs and some holiday favorites. The show coincided with the school’s “Holidays Around the World” theme for this year. All Northwest students also took a field trip to the Museum of Science and Industry to see the Christmas Around the World and Holidays of Light exhibits.
Southwest School’s kindergarten through third-grade students performed the musical "Elflandia" on Dec. 12. In this show, all of Santa's elves live in Elflandia, where they make toys all day and sing merry songs. In the show the elves meet a human, take selfies with the audience members, and joyously sing about the holiday season.
