Welcome to Project TREE’s Language Arts program. My name is Louise Baldwin and I am a gifted teacher at Northwest  and Northeast school. Students in grades three, four and five meet for a total of five days per week. I will work with the children while their homeroom teacher leads the classroom guided reading groups. This class will provide your child with rigor and allow him/her to learn at his/her appropriate academic level.

The curriculum includes but is not limited to Junior Great Books (Think It), Jacob’s Ladder and William and Mary lessons for gifted/talented students. The students will research, analyze text, read novels, study vocabulary and apply their knowledge through enrichment projects.  

Students remain in the Project TREE Language Arts program through fifth grade as long as they maintain the program’s expectation.  In the spring of fifth grade students are reevaluated for entry into the Middle School Project TREE program.
